Mag Wheels are also called magnesium wheels and are basically wheels that are made using an alloy of magnesium. These wheels are mainly used on race cars, but are becoming popular with people that are looking to improve their vehicle’s cosmetic appearance.

Magnesium alloy wheels are known as mag wheels. These are manufactured by hot forging Magnesium MA-14 and ZK60. The weight of a wheel is 8-12 kilograms. This will reduce a car’s weight, improve heat dissipation of brakes, and perfect acceleration. They are commonly used on race cars. Dirt bike wheels are made using discs of cast magnesium. Mags are more expensive than normal ones and their lightness makes them flammable. Fires that are created by the wheels are extremely hard to extinguish which can lead to death. Fire breaks out when a puncture occurs and the tire runs on the road’s surface for a prolonged time period. The friction eventually turns into flames. This is one characteristic that discourages some vehicle owners and they often choose alternative wheels to reduce this risk. Various countries, including the United Kingdom have prohibited Mag use in motor sports arenas. There are other alloys available that are budget friendly such as Konig, Volk Racing, 5Zigen, BBS, Weld Racing, Motegi Racing Performance, American Racing, and Panther. Because cheap but experienced labor is available in India, alloys are manufactured by different companies. Because these large companies compete with each other, vehicle owners benefit from high quality, affordable mag wheels.
